STRAPS

Today’s production is centralized in few countries due to complexity and cost. The 3D printing technology is on the verge to move the manufacturing of simple monobloc products into a localized system. Considering the printing quality developed by Form Lab, it seems clear that small mono-material object can soon be printed on command near the customer's home and not produced in mass on another continent without much price difference.

Straps is the result of a collaboration between ECAL(REF) and FormLab(REF). Straps takes the advantages of the 3D printing system to reduce the production costs and react quickly to the fast-moving market of consumer electronics.

Using just the necessary materials to protect your smartphone, Straps aim for efficiency and elegance.
